Jackie Mosure - Your Instructor
Yoga
I first started practicing yoga at the young age of 12.
I found my dad's Bryan Kest tapes and, at first try, I was unable to perform the most basic movements,
but with patience and a consistent practice I became able to perform the fundamental poses that became the building blocks of my current practice.
I saw Bryan as a famous instructor who demonstrated many exercises that were too hard for me at the time but the basic movements made my body feel amazing.
Over the past 15 years, I have learned that yoga is so much more than the poses.
I have taken 536 hours of instructor training with Yogaview in Chicago and with Bryan Kest at an exclusive yoga training course in Mexico, and I have attended multiple workshops.
I practice yoga because it hits a balance of all importance aspects of healthy living; breath control, strength, flexibility, meditation and even cardio.
Yoga can be successful for beginners as well as the very experienced athlete.
I have seen how it has transformed me both physically and mentally and I am passionate to share my experiences with my students.
Nutrition
My passion for nutrition has led me to graduate from the University of Dayton in dietetics
and to complete my dietetic internship at the Ohio State University.
I am a strong believer of eating fresh, whole foods, and enjoying food without regret.
Overcoming my own adrenal fatigue, GI distress, and hormonal imbalances strengthened my desire
to help other people prevent, treat, and overcome their daily struggles with food through knowledge and guidance.
I have worked with a range of clients, including those who wish to lose weight or get back in shape,
to those who are looking to make significant life changes, like Bernie Slusar, TV's Biggest Loser at-home Winner.
Personal Training & Exercise
Nutrition and exercise go hand-in-hand.
I received my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and have been training since 2004.
I have always been fascinated with being able to transform the human body body by using strength training, yoga, and cardio
and have witnessed the benefits of exercise on stress, cholesterol, diabetes, pre/postnatal, and self-esteem.
Functional training uses free weights as opposed to machines and challenges smaller muscle groups as well and
large muscles groups for a well rounded approach building long, lean muscles.
I am a strong believer in finding an exercise routine to fit your lifestyle as well as scheduling the time to make your health a priority,
even if it is 20 minutes 3 times per week.
There is no better time then the present to get your body moving.
